Hello, I am asking this separately from my transmission question, it's a 2006 Lexus LS 430 with 115k miles. When I turn on the car the fan starts blowing and it reeks of a nasty almost body oder type smell. When the cold air AC kicks in the smell is mostly reduced but its really quite gross. I must note it doesn't smell like coolant. I already replaced the cabin air filter and that didn't help much. When I turn off the AC and the fans blow only it is especially bad. What could it be? I am thinking mold or water.
They sell cans of foaming cleaner that have extremely long tubes to reach deep into the dash to do a really thorough job. Use as many cans as it takes to get rid of the smell.

You can get lysol and spray into the cowl and run the air on fresh mode. It will kill the bacteria and the smell should go away
It's either a moldy cabin air filter, or moldy A/C evaporator.
In the worst case scenario, if none of above methods worked, use ozone cleaner.
I like to use Ozium, available at auto parts stores. Switch to fresh air inlet, spray into intake grill at front of windshield, then switch back to recirculate and let it run. Repeat this a few times and the odor should be dissipated.
