Hello, just bought a 2.0L 2006 Mazda 3 with 150,000 miles and I noticed that the previous owner had red coolant in the reservoir instead of green. I want to drain out the red coolant and switch it to green coolant but I don't want them to mix, so would doing a coolant flush allow me to do the switch? If that's the case then how could I safely perform the flush by myself? Thank you!

It's not the color you need to worry about, it's the type.
If you want to flush it all out you'll need a garden hose & something to catch the spillage.

Make sure you use the correct coolant. Check the owner's manual.
