I have a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder SUV.
I have a Thinkware F200 2ch dash camera but I don't have the rear camera connected because the size of the vehicle and the folding rear window might make wiring difficult. Instead I would rather just have side view dash cameras (1CH Thinkware F50) for the rear. I would have them powered with a splitter connected to a 12v power outlet. The wires would be under the seats and protected with a cable loom. I have the rear seats folded since no one really sits in them.
What I don't like is that the rear 12v outlet has power all the time. Is there any way to change that?
I would probably have the front F200 dash camera hardwired to the fusebox as I currently have it powered on center console 12v power outlet.
Sound like a good idea.
