Is it possible to put a V8 in a 2006 passat? If not then is it possible for a V6?

If you have sufficient time, money, and the skill for custom fabrication you can put a V8 into just about anything. How much money do you want to spend and how good are you at welding?

I doubt you can fit a V8 into a B6 Passat unless it's a W8 engine from the previous generation Passat.

You can have a V6 Passat, but you don't need an engine swap to get one.

Anything is possible, but practically speaking it will cost many thousands of dollars if you hire a shop to do it and will have a ripple effect on the rest of the vehicle’s systems;  you can’t just “slap” in a different engine and call it a day.  I am not sure how much money you have to burn, but it’s not worth it.  Don’t throw good money at bad.

Have you gotten a quote yet?

That should be your 1st step, because I think the cost will approach or exceed the value of your car.
