Hi there,
I got P0344 (Camshaft Position Sensor “A” Circuit Intermittent (Bank 1 or Single Sensor)) and a flashing “D” only at cold start. I need to try 3-4 times to start the car. It starts for 20 seconds and stalls. On the third or fourth attempt, it starts normally. When the car is warmed up, no issues starting at all.
Separate from that, when I rev the engine beyond 3000 rpm at idle, I get P0339 (Crankshaft Position Sensor “A” Circuit Intermittent) and the car stalls.
I started with diagnosing the camshaft position sensor. The wiring delivers 5 volts and I couldn’t test the sensor resistance due to its accessibility. I am going to replace the camshaft position sensor anyways (normally it wears out and would require replacement). If that helps with the cold start, great. If not, I will diagnose the crankshaft position sensor. I will keep it to later because it is located in the timing belt housing and would require more work.
Any better ideas?

Well pray it's a bad sense but with that kind of mileage often it is actually a warn timing belt. For some crazy reason Honda still using rubber belts instead of chains like everyone else. Eventually the belt stretch then you get all those sensor codes because the computer is confused it sees the data coming from the sensor to be observed because the belt has stretched and things don't line up anymore
Yeah, the timing belt was off. I serviced it and everything is back to normal now. Thanks Scotty!
