I am looking for a medium sized first car fro my daughter at a lower-end budget. I am considering going to see a 2007 Hyundai Elantra 2.4 Pertrol sedan with 154,00KM (that's about 95600 miles to you folks in the US of A).
This one has the Theta engine, which was a joint-venture development between Hyundai and the then DaimlerChrysler. The engine is used in various Dodge and Chrysler models.
I would like to know what the known issues are with this engine and the Auto transmission that it came with, if any. Is this a reliable unit if reasonably well maintained?
I would not advise buying it. This car is at the end of its life and will start having issues. Look for an older Toyota or Honda to get much better quality with the same budget.
get her a manual civic so she cant text and drive.
if she manages to crash it parts are dirt cheap to repair
