I have a 2007 Lexus is250 with the check engine light on. I've checked the code and its a p2757 tcc stuck off. First thing I did was clean the transmission fluid made sure I kept half of the old so it wouldn't mess up my tranny. The mileage on the car is close to 180,000. The car runs smooth but the check engine light does turn on and off. Unfortunately, I have to do my smog check and none of them will pass due to the code. I've changed one of the solenoids and the transmission fluid so far the light always returns. If I erase it it'll come back in 50 miles or less. One of my mechanics says its a transmission issue while the other says my transmission is good and its the solenoid. I've been having this car for awhile and absolutely love it so would appreciate any help or ideas on this. The car is well taken care off oil changes every six months, new wheels and brakes, weekly mileage is probably 300. It runs smooth for the most part but it does stall in changing gears. I've also had instances where changing from drive to reverse it'll turn off and I will have to push start in neutral to start again. Haven't had an issue with it starting up again.
Yea, tcc solenoid is what I'd replace first. You did say you replaced one, was that it? How does the resistance check on the solenoid at the trans electrical plug read? You check here to help determine if it has a bad wiring harness inside. I've also seen the temp sensor in the trans not cause lock up but I don't recall it throwing that code. Else, bad tc likely.
I don't know where you live, but here in TYx, pretty sure that year can have 1 code bad (so long as it isn't emissions code). Check your state's requirements (if Ca, don't bother... continue troubleshooting.)
