2007 Mercedes C280 intake manifold arm

Hey Scotty! My name's John and I'm from North Carolina.

My car has an intake manifold runner arm that has snapped in half, forcing the manifold to stay stuck in the closed position.

I know how to remove the manifold and it's a relatively easy task to get the new control arm and to take out the manifold and put it back in.

However, I'm no mechanic. I'm concerned I might mess something up despite it being a straightforward operation. I would gladly take my car to your repair service and even let you make a video on it if you'd dare touch the thing with a ten foot pole.

Do you think I should get it looked at by a professional or attempt the operation on my own? Thanks.

Well if you got tools, why not do it yourself? It's not rocket science. Just do it on a cold engine and be careful not to break into the plastic crap that's on modern cars
