I have a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix, it's got close to 200,000 miles, and over the past year the air conditioning has had issues. On days its hot, 80 or above, the air conditioner will blow cold then hot then cold then hot, the entire time the car is running. When it's cooler out the car doesn't do it. It blows icy cold, and the heat works great too. Any suggestions on why when its hot the air would blow cold and hot so intermittently? Thanks!
Could be low on refrigerant after 16 years.
I checked it and it was in the green on the freon can

Meaningless. The cheap low-side gauges on those so-called "recharge cans" are utterly useless for any kind of diagnostics. Those cans also frequently contain sealers than can plug up and damage your AC system.
You need a full gauge set for AC diagnostics, and even then the only way to tell that you have the correct amount of refrigerant is to extract the old refrigerant and charge in the manufacturer-specified load by weight.
