[Solved] 2007 Pontiac G6 2.4 noise on startup

I have a 2007 Pontiac G6 2.4 L LE5 with 163,000 miles with no codes or check engine light. When the engine isn’t warm like on a cold start, there can be a rattle/grind for 1 second on startup and doesn’t last longer than a second, and it isn’t a very metallic noise but comes from the engine. I have an intermittent rough idle and has shook a little bit at a stop once before but once I am driving it runs great. 3,000 miles ago I had a timing chain replacement done but the noise was there before the chain replacement, just worse. The engine doesn’t burn a drop of oil and never has, I change it every 3k miles with full synthetic. Once i’m driving the car runs great. Could these be symptoms of my cam phaser(s) needing replaced that became more apparent after the timing chain replacement?

Yes, probably the cam phasers are bad. That's typical. Or I could even be at the cams themselves at Warren, but more often it's the phaser
