I'm looking at buying a 2010 Honda CRV 143,900 miles on it for my daughter. Dealer said timing chain was replaced with OEM parts.
Great on the OEM parts, but I hadn't heard of timing chains going out with only 144k miles without some abuse like maybe infrequent oil changes etc.
Since the timing chain has been replaced, should this take care of it or should this be a vehicle to avoid?
If I should not just run from this vehicle, are there any other things I should look for if it really did need a timing chain replacement due to pool maintenance by a prior owner ?

Q: How do you know when a dealer is lying to you?
A: His or her lips are moving.

You are correct. The timing chain going bad at that mileage is an indicator of poor maintenance or abuse. (In comparison my own car has well over 370,000 miles and the original chain is still fine.) I'd pass it by.
