Hi,
My sister gifted me a 2012 Honda CRV with 210,000 miles. I feel like she could go another 20,000 . The car, Trixie has the notorious shudder issue it happens because 25 and 30 and also around 40 . I know this is a tork converter issue with these cars. I noticed that it I press the d3 button the shudder doesn't doesn't happen at all. I live in Boston and do all city driving. I have a service based business so I am on the road a lot. I'm wondering if driving around in d3 will further damage the transmission or engine? I rarely get up past 40 mph. I have read a drain and fill can help but with that mileage I'm afraid to mess with it. Your thoughts?
Probably best to leave it alone at this point but you might want to read the detailed information about changing transmission fluid in the site FAQ.
