Took my 2008 Acura TL Type S to the Acura Dealer to have the Driver side CV axle replaced (previous one snapped offJ. Dealer is telling me that the aftermarket CV axle for the Type S will not fit and I need to use the OEM CV Axle. However for a regular TL the aftermarket axle fits. Cost to replace the CV Axle with Labour is $1000.00 plus tax.
Question... Is is true that aftermarket driver side CV axles will not fit TL TYPE S?

I've never worked on that exact model but for my experience I could always find aftermarket axle somewhere that fit. Call 713-227-1544 and tell them Scotty sent you to see if they can get you an axle I've used them for years
The truth behind these cars, is to use OEM axles. Guys that have these stock and lowered can tell you that anyday.
