2008 Chevy Cobalt 2.2 ecotech Timing Chain Question (Timing Marks On The Chain)

I have a 2008 chevy cobalt that had a bad chain guide.  I've got it all took apart and ready to reassemble, but have a question about the timing marks on the chain.

This chain has no timing marks.  I understand alot of the replacement chains have marks on them to align them with the spots on the cam gears and crankshaft.  I have the cams and crankshaft all set where they are suppose to be.  Since I do not have these link color marked chains, can I just go ahead and use this chain that doesn't have the marks?  I mean, as long as the cams are set (EXH at 10 o clock and INT at 2 o clock and the pin on the crankshaft is at 12 oclock, shouldnt everything be fine?  Just put the chain on and make sure the position of the crankshaft and cams dont move?  Maybe before I apply tension, mark them where they are with a paint marker incase they jump?

I am dirt poor, and I know it seems petty to not spend the extra $50 for a new chain any way, but this chain is brand new anyways and I really dont want to push the extra expense.  I'm already replacing the overly priced valve cover gaskets, timing cover gaskets, crank shaft seal, etc.  I'm dirt poor and need to get the old girl back to running condition without unnecessary expenses.

Thanks a bunch.  I read the forum about searching for answers before asking.  I did not find anything related to my question.  So, I'm sorry if this was already asked.  Thank you to all the pros out there answering us amateur's questions!

you don't want to be even a single tooth off. Can't you return the chain where you got it?

FYI the Chevy recommends throwing away the old sprocket bolts.

okay.  sounds like a well worth while thing to just get the chain with the colored links.  thanks.
