Hey Scotty, long time fan here James pleasure is all mine. I got a 2008 Ford edge AWD SEL 3.5 V6. Driving home one day with the kids car started to overheat and dumped water from both the driver and passenger side which indicated that the connection from, the water pump inlet to thermostat housing either went bad and/or the water pump itself upon dissembling the engine block come to find out the water pump had seized up. After replacing the water pump and then reinstalling all the parts, tried to crank the engine over and wasn’t getting any successful cranks. It was just continuously sounding like if the engine wanted to turn over but just couldn’t I bought a new battery I replaced some hoses, ground wires, etc. I just went to local auto store and purchase the catalytic converter thinking. Maybe it got clogged by all the engine oil/antifreeze mud mix but just not sure what it could be any ideas or suggestions would be grateful he helpful and I will definitely update you once we find the issue that is if you can’t help me again I’m at your mercy Scotty hope to hear back from you soon.
It's not clear from your post, is the starter not spinning the engine at all or is the starter cranking the engine but it's failing to start up?
