Hey everyone, about a year and a half ago, I bought a used 2008 Honda Accord LX with the 2.4L engine and 5-speed manual transmission. It has 158,000 miles on it and when I bought it, it had a fairly new clutch, the timing belt had been done, and other service records came with the car. Recently, whenever I move the clutch in and out, wether the car is off or on, there is a squeaking noise coming from the engine bay. I believe that it is the slave cylinder making the noise, but I’m not sure. I was told by one mechanic that I should leave it be; another mechanic told me to fix it now or else my brakes will fail. Being a broke college student, I don’t want to have to spend money if I don’t have to. Should I be worried and do it now, or wait till it goes out?
If it's the clutch slaver master cylinder and it's serious problem it will leak fluid if you are not leaking fluid you could live with the noise it would mean nothing. You can check the rubber boots at the end of each cylinder squeeze them if no fluid comes out they are fine but if you squeeze them in fluid comes out they should be bone dry inside then it's time to change them now before they go
