I've got an 08 Honda Civic automatic with 150k on it. I've noticed that the car makes an odd gargling noise whenever I have the AC on (original compressor) and I accelerate the car. It happens mostly at lower speeds and only under both the above conditions, what could cause this?

Start with load testing the battery and alternator.
