Hi my dad has a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0L diesel with about 170k km on it. Up here in Canada. Hes been having issues with the vehicle going into limp mode i thought we took care of that by moving these wires away from the AC lines. Havent had that issue since, today he messages me saying he went into a store came back out tried starting it and the dash lit up like a christmas tree throwing all types of warnings (no scan tool). pulled the negative battery post to reset everything and was able to drive home fine. His one friend (Diesel mechanic) seems to think he might need a computer put in the vehicle. What do you think?
I would never buy a diesel Jeep product because most of those are Italian made diesels known to have problems he's going to have to find a really good Chrysler mechanic to work on that thing or it's going to be guesswork City. And yes the computers do go bad in those all the time
