I recently started hearing a strange sound in my Highlander engine whenever I start it up and also when i give it a full throttle and it gets to 80km/h the check engine light comes up and starts blinking until you turn off the car and start it up again. What could be the problem?

Start with visiting your local auto parts store & scan the vehicle for stored codes. Then post the codes here.
