My 2008 Toyota solara 2.4 with the AZ-fe 4 cylinder engine has started making and engine rattle that almost sounds like a alternator bearing...112k miles burns 2 quarts every 3k miles never ran low as long as I’ve had it
took the serpentine belt off and the noise persists
should I continue driving it 4 hours from my house for work or should I sell it cause the engine is bad?

Swap the engine.
