2008 Volvo XC-90 (3.2L) with high crankcase pressure

Hey Scott, I love your videos! My vehicle has 225k miles on it. It has begun to burn through oil. I identified positive crankcase pressure via the glove test - smoke also exits the dipstick tube. I changed the oil trap on the engine and made sure the two oil passages to the oil trap were clear. I even dropped the oil pan to confirm that there were no blockages there. (There were none.)

In the end, I still have positive crankcase pressure. The check engine light is one with an O2 Sensor code: P0137(Low voltage back 1 sensor 2). I've attached an image of compression testing i performed which certainly indicates some blow-by.

I will add that the oil trap on this engine does not have external hoses; all oil passages is within the engine as is the vacuum passage. The gas mileage does not seem to be affected and I have no real oil leak to explain the disappearing oil.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Manny

Your engine is just flat worn out internally what that just drive it till it fails it's not worth the kind of money it cost to rebuild a Volvo engine on that old thing
