2009 BMW X5 Vanos cose 002A87

Against my better judgement I bought a used 2009 BMW X5 with the N52 non-turbo 3.0 six.  It is now at 133K miles and has had the typical things like water pump, gaskets, radiator, and various hoses replaced.  I'm now getting no CEL but 002A87 Exhaust VANOS code, but it runs just fine and no other codes.  Current oil is due for a change in May (1 yr) and has AT-205 to try and stem the leaks.

Should I just change the oil and drive it?  The next stop may be a trade-in...

If you search online you'll find information on that code. Here's a thread on a BMW forum which has information, including a BMW TSB. Basically that code indicates the VANOS solenoids have insufficient oil pressure. In this case the problem turned out to be a sheared VANOS bolt, but there are a number of possibilities:

Appreciate the quick response.  I was not aware of this bulletin.  I found SI B11 07 14 but my build date was May 2009, however the one you provided will be helpful when I discuss with the dealer when I get the oil changed.
