- Scott, I have a 2011 BMW X5 5.0i. These vehicles are notorious for oil leaks and having the blue smoke from the exhaust. Have you see this product in the link, and if so what do you think? Thanks in advance for your opinion. https://youtu.be/smRjx5Ykgqw

Generally none of those answers are going to fix oil burning oil burning is because pissed and rings thousands are worn out and those are physically worn squirting some kind of goo in the engine oil isn't going to fix that. If you do have kind of bluish smoke that's a combination of burning oil and metal the metal being the piston rings.
Thanks scott

I see these cars all the time, and if I could offer one free piece of advice it would be this: Do not put any additive into the oil of a BMW motor. They are extremely sensitive, high strung engines that do not enjoy the introduction of foreign substances.
Besides, as Scotty said, the issue is worn piston rings which can't be fixed by a simple solution.
