My aunt very generously gifted me her 2009 Honda CRV with 80k miles for my 22nd Birthday. I generally hear very good things about Hondas, but after some research found out that the 2.4L engines can potentially burn up to 1 quart of oil every 1k miles? It seems most affected were the model years of 2010 and 2011 CRV.
Can any 2009 CRV owners enlighten me on their experience here?

The biggest issue was with tires the oil burning was in 2010 and 2011 according to this site of owner complaints. Check it out.
