I have 2001 corolla with 294,000 km. I changed the gear oil and filter thanks to your videos. and i don't know if i need to check the oil at working temp with engine on or off.
also, I would liked to know if there anything more thet i can do to keep this car working for many more years.

that's not helped me, I checked all the videos couple of times before I was asked the question (and now again).
I even saw other people videos to find the answer by myself but it just maked me more confused.
some of them checked the fluid when the engine was on and some of them said that its neded to be in warm (after 10 min drive), and let the oil 3 min to drup down to the pan for the reading to be right.
