Hi Scotty I am a 70 year old lady and every time I take my car into a mechanic it is always something big they tell me. Last time when I would push on my gas pedal it acted like it was not getting gas OH MAM THAT'S YOUR TRANSMISSION THAT WILL BE $4000 dols. So this is a different car I have now and I cannot afford another 4000 so I am wondering if I post the recording of it trying to start could you possibly tell me what you think it could be. Now it ran perfect never has missed in fact when I left it running you could not even hear the motor running it was so quiet. Since gas has been so expensive I have not been filling up and sorta kinda been running it until it was empty of gas. I am thinking it could be the fuel pump. Anyway I have been told it is the starter. It could be the timing chain, could be the fuel pump. Lord oh lord some time I wish I was a mechanic for just an hour. lol. I will post the recording for your listening pleasure. I still wish you were in Houston Texas I live in Deer Park Tx. I could of brought it on over. lol

Have you checked the FAQ for mechanic referrals in Houston? - https://carkiller.com/scottykilmer/qa/mechanics/

Letting the fuel level get low on a fuel injected car vehicle with the fuel pump in the tank is the kiss of death for your fuel pump.  If you want it to work and last, do not let it get much below 1/4 tank, ever.  Have your fuel pressure tested by an honest mechanic before doing anything else.
