Hey,
Looking at buying a used 2009 Hyundai Sonata with 37000m on it in great condition for $4500. What do you think? I know the seller and they maintained the car well.
Clarification: How many years and additional miles (on top of the existing odometer reading) do you need to get out of it?
Maybe 5-10 yrs. Just a point a to b type thing. I was hoping of getting another 100000m out of it
Im not familiar with Hyundai's. I was looking for a Honda or Toyota but I know the seller and trust them. Just dont know much about the Sonata as a vehicle.
If that is the actual mileage and not a scam, it could be a good car as long as you take care of it. Right now is not the best time to buy a used car but that's an okay price for that Sonata. Just like other used cars, have a good mechanic check it out before purchase.
Thanks
Your welcome!
That generation Sonata is not bad. (They turned to crap from about 2011-on.) Engine and transmission should hold up fine as long as that's the true mileage and it's been maintained. A lot of little things will probably break along the way. Normally I'd say it's overpriced but with the market the way it is now that's probably about as good a deal as you're going to get.
Yeah that's what I was thinking.... Watched Scotty's video on the overpriced used market. The Sonata I am looking at is being advertised for more $ in ads. I think I just stumbled on a good deal knowing the seller.
