bad acceleration

Topic starter

aloha...

someone in our town bought a 2000 Landcruiser V8 VXR

car was a renewing project

has great shifting

clean interior

even under the car is clean

but the engine was bad

even a fix for it was a fail

so he had to change engine

but engine size was changed from 4.5 to 4.7L

both for Landcruiser

& the engine sounds nice & clear

but seems the engine installer didnt hook wires right

& he couldn't find a pro to do it...

this is a unlisted uploaded video

a DEMO

of the issue

which taking him a month of no progress

very short videos less than a minute

cut in half

1st vid .. first half only .. around 2week ago

showing him doing the pedal to the metal

but accelerating slow & shifting late .. as if gearbox waiting for the engine to reach based on pedal push

& shifting smoothly

2nd video .. full video 30s.. yesterday

showing no accelerating at all .. or very low...

no oil pressure readings

engine light on

.. could it be safety feature by car computer to run engine very weak .. to reach destination safely or something?

.

or

kindly some Guide or suggestions on this matter...

Here's the problem. I had changes in those years and it may never work unless you can find a computer genius/ mechanic. Sensors are different, wiring is different and computers are different. You can't just go swapping stuff on modern cars from different years. But try to find a Toyota axburgh who might have seen it before and know how to rewire stuff or reprogram things
