Hi there Scotty. I have a 2009 Toyota Matrix S FWD (2.4 L) with 109,500 miles that has auto door locks. Intermittently, upon activation they will quickly flick back and forth and even when starting up the vehicle. In 2019 I had 2 lock actuator assemblies replaced as a hunch due to expected most use (the entire assembly, FL and FR) and it seemed to fix it for a while but issue is back.
I took it to a trusted family mechanic and they couldn’t find an issue due to being intermittent. No OBD codes are thrown. Any way to narrow down which door(s) or component is having an issue or do I need to buy replacement actuators for every door?
Thanks,
James
Well, you probably do not buy the actuators for all doors. That's a known problem. But if it's not that often, it's the master control switch starting to short out. Pray it's not the module inside the car cuz they cost a fortune
