2010 Dodge Ram 1500 Stalling Issue

Hey Scotty,

I have a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi with 110k on it. I've had it for 8 years now and it finally has a problem. Whether the engine is hot or cold, it will stall most of the time when I come to a stop or put it in to reverse. So far I've changed out the spark plugs, MAP sensor and PCV valve. Ran new gas and I've checked by sight for a vacuum leak (no smoke machine) and didn't see any cracks. I drive the truck maybe 4k miles a year now. Perhaps fuel filter????

I would take a look at the throttle body throttle plate. Inspect for carbon gummy buildup in the throttle bore. It can be easily cleaned by spraying brake cleaner on shop towel and wiping out the bore front and back of the throttle plate. It may require some driving to recalibrate the idle.

I hope you find this helpful.

Thanks for your response! Forgot to mention that I did that as well. No codes popping up either and I also reset the ECU just in case.

Can you see the crankshaft information when running with scan tool?
Also, check the throttle position information at idle and part throttle.
The throttle body may not be sending correct info to ecm.
