I have a 2002 Lexus SC430 with a very low 74,000 miles. It's a great car; I keep it at a Utah mountain vacation home where we drive it about 2,000 miles annually nowadays. It has never had a timing belt replacement; it runs perfectly. Should I have the timing belt replaced? If so, can I also consider that to be a coolant replacement (it has been six years and 30,000 miles) and an oil change, which I do annually anyway.
About how much should I expect to spend?
Is there anything else I should have done?
Thanks
@rickrau
its not a coolant replacement thats different. and yes please install a new timing belt
that's the only major job and it is very expensive any mechanic worth of salt is going to have to change a lot of parts and it will cost well over $1,000.
