Hey! I got a 2001 Jeep Cherokee that has a tick-like sound when I am revving the engine between 1800-2100 RPM while I am moving. It is at its loudest between those rev ranges but could be heard at other RPMs around the range mentioned. I heard it once while revving the engine in park but have not heard it since then. It does not make the sound when it is idling. It is also at its loudest when I am getting up to speed from a stop. Could it be an exhaust manifold leak, or could it be something else?

could be lots of things but if it's an exhaust tick it will be leaking so when the engine's cold have somebody rev it up and put your hands around it and you would feel it puffing out probably it's not inside the engine cuz then it gets really expensive
