The paint in my out-of-warranty 2016 automatic Toyota Tacoma, 60K mileage, is flaking off the gap/dip in the metal fender where it meets the hood. There is no friction or rubbing that could have caused it. My dealership took it up the chain with corporate, but came back with no solution other than me paying for my own paint repair.
Am I left with any further recourse with either the dealership or Toyota corp?
And what can I do to prevent other areas from flaking?

Put a good paint sealant once every 2 months. Turtle Wax Seal N Shine is great.
