2010 Honda Pilot oil leak

I’ve got a 2010 Honda Pilot, it has 300k miles on it. I bought it from a dealer in 2016 with 71k miles on it. It’s always used oil, I always keep an eye on it. Lately after driving and decent distance, when I stop I smell something burning, couldn’t tell if it’s oil or rubber. So I had my mechanic take a look and he said there was so much oil he couldn’t tell where it was coming from. Some of it probably from the oil pan, but other than that the bottom of the engine would have to steam cleaned thoroughly to be able to tell.

My question is this; should I even bother to try and track it down? Start the process, get the new oil pan gasket, get it cleaned and try and track down these leaks? Is it worth doing or should I just keep adding oil until it’s undriveable (engine goes or whatever)?

Scotty has a video of tracking oil leaks with some UV dye and a UV flashlight.

It might worth at least trying to find the source. It could be something simple and cheap. It could also be something more complicated and expensive. But at least it will give a data and information to make a decision.
