I'm looking to buy a 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 4WD, 3.7L V6, 104792 miles, and about $10k. I just want to know how used Grand Cherokee's are and if they're worth the investment.
Keep looking. Unless you want to throw away your hard earned $10,000.
Can I ask why?
Sure. If you want a Grand Cherokee, find an older one with the 4.0L 6cyl.

The problem with the 4.0 equipped Grand Cherokees is that although the engine is very robust they use a weak and troublesome Chrysler 4-speed automatic transmission. Although not as luxurious, the "regular" Cherokee is a much better bet for long life as it uses an Aisin-Warner (Toyota) AW4 transmission. With proper care hundreds of thousands of miles can be racked up on those and they just keep going. A problem of course is they're much older than the OP is looking for, the best ones are the 1997-1999 model years.
Yup, you have it correct. I was mentally referring to the regular Cherokee like in the Matt’s off-road recovery YouTube channel.
I would pass on it esp. since it’s already at 105,000 miles and if this is going to be a daily driver and you intend to put lots more mileage on it. It’s getting to the point where it’s susceptible to random electrical issues (gremlins).
