2010 Towncar overheating

Had some ac problems, replaced the temp and pressure switches, added Freon, worked fine. It started to get worn inside again. Today got very hot and temp alarm came up. Turned it off, opened coolant reservoir, added water to get back home. Fab works sometimes but it doesn’t blast very loud like other cars but i know Towncar is made to be quiet. It seems like Dan turns sometimes but at a lower speed. With ac on it will overheat super fast. Tested for voltage on the connector for the fan control unit, 12v; checked resistance on the fan motor cable is 0.6-0.7 ohms not sure if it’s ok. Don’t have much money to buy the fan assembly and eat until next paycheck so o bought a thermostat and planning to replace it due to a high pressure measures by hands on the top radiator hose, and it seems has water but not flowing. Any help appreciated!

Well it's not blowing needs the radiators clogged up as a water pumps broken. You can test the radiator with the laser non-contact thermometer where you take a bunch of temperatures and if it's clogged up the clogged up parts will be a lot colder than the rest showing the radiator shot

Hi, Mr. Kilmer, made a mistake when trying to triple to your answer and generated and answer to my own question! If you have time, please, let me know what are your thoughts after all tests I’ve done after submitting my first question here. Regardless, i sincerely appreciate you trying to help us out!

Thank you so much for replying!

I’ve followed another YouTube video about the connector for the fan controller, sprayed them with contact cleaner, turn on the car, turn on ac, fan worked, drive about two miles to Walmart for coolant, car off, came back, turn it on, no fan, turn AC on, no fan. Drive back home and AC blowing cold, decided to stretch it a little a few blocks around, temp started to go up again and no fan, I’m at a gas station and keep hearing metal clicking that I believe is the thermostat but the pressure on the top water hose is high, that’s the one connected to the thermostat housing, can it be the thermostat?

Appreciate you taking your precious time for this matter!

Have you ever replaced the thermostat in this 115K mile 11 year old car?  If not, that would be my call.  Replace it with a lower temperature, fail safe thermostat, refill and burp the cooling system.

That’s my plan t wasn’t sure due to the fact the fan keeps working/not working intermittently. That was also the recommendation at napa auto parts and the girl told to test the upper water hose, if there was pressure on it, the thermostat could be the culprit. I’ve posted an answer to my own answer by mistake and if you can read and see the tests I’ve performed to make it sure it matches the symptoms i have. Appreciate very much for you and mr. Kilmer god trying to help me out!
Thank you!

By the way, I’ve bought this car at 106k two years ago. Thank you!

Could also be the fan control module based on your new information.

That’s what I believe it is and it scares me to death as I need to buy the whole thing at $220-250 aftermarket. Dealership price is the same for the module alone!!! Thank you so much for your insights!

I will wake up early as i need to start my joke at noon, and change the thermostat anyway, then I’ll post it here. I will check for the module alone on eBay, let’s see it!
Thank you!
