Hey Scotty,
I have a 2011 Toyota Avalon with 100k miles with a problem with the steering wheel. There are two lever adjustments, one that adjusts the telescoping/forward-backward motion of the wheel, and the other is the standard tilt wheel lever. The telescoping lever keeps disengaging on me, it loosens up over a short period of time (maybe 1.5/2 hours of driving) and disengages, and all of the sudden you'll be driving along and the wheel randomly jumps forward when you put a little pressure on it because the lever has released to the open position. Very odd problem, never had this happen to me with car, very surprised its happening on the Avalon.
Any thoughts? I haven't gotten under there to see if there is something obvious, just surprises me that its even a problem!

There is a TSB for that issue:
TSB Reference #T-SB-0147-13
You can call the Toyota dealer and see how much they get for the fix.
If you do not change the steering wheel position offer, a DIY method is to tighten the lever by adding a piece of plastic next to that.
Thanks!
