Hey Scotty,
Yesterday the temperatures fell below freezing for the first time and my car started having problems. I have never had an issue like this before in my 2011 Buick Regal. Since the first time I started it yesterday, the car has not been able to get itself above first gear. I can go about 20 mph before the engine revs to 3000+ rpm. Reverse is fine to get out of the driveway. There is no delay when going from park to drive or reverse. At one point yesterday it found its way into 2nd or 3rd gear and ran fine but wouldn't come out. Ran a diagnostic and it came back with the code p2714 Transmission control solenoid D performance/stuck off. Is this pointing to one of the 7 transmission solenoids in particular, or do I need to change the whole pack? Will I be able to drain the tranny fluid and repair this on my own at home? Should I also pull out the valve body and clean the channels? I really want to work on this by myself out of interest and also to save on labor costs, any information from you is appreciated and helpful.
ohh. To specify, the car has a little over 141,000 miles on it. thanks.
