2011 Camry LE (US-Kentucky) Strut advice

Hi Scotty,

First off, I really enjoy your videos and have gained a lot of valuable information from them. Thank you!

I have a 2011 Camry LE with 108,680 miles and considering installing new front and rear struts. I know you are not fond of strut assemblies, so I wondered if I purchase all items needed to put together my own OEM Strut Assembly, would a mechanic put them together with using their coil spring compressor?...or, will a dealership assemble it. I do know it will cost a small fortune for dealership parts, but do you know of a wholesale distributor for Toyota OEM parts? Hoping for best advice from someone I trust.

Best regards,

Tony from Pennsylvania

A mechanic can do it for you.

I personally don't know, but in your case, do some research, you can find a good deal online.

are you planning to buy parts by the crate?

I buy shocks/struts from Rockauto.com

They often have instant rebates on quality parts like KYB

Never get anything from a dealer.  Never have them do anything, unless it's warranty work and you have no other choice.
