2011 Honda CR-V LX 2WD 70k miles only goes in reverse. I took a wrong turn and ended up on a forestry route. By the time I realized and turned around, the road had already gotten pretty rough. I think I hit something but I’m not sure exactly what happened. At first it still drove, but it would shutter at idle and I think later in park. I knew off-road recovery is expensive, so I thought I could make it out of there and I was driving it in 1st gear only (D1). All I know for sure is it drove in 1st but would shutter at idle so I would have to shift it out if I wasn’t moving. N and R didn’t shutter. If it did shutter in park it wasn’t much. When I first noticed a problem, I scanned it with BlueDriver and got no codes. Eventually idk if I hit something again or it just gave out, and I’m left with reverse. I can still physically put the shifter in park, reverse, neutral and all drive modes but it just revs in drive.
Well pray it did something to the shift cable and it's misaligned now. If not the transmission's toast inside
Update so it has absolutely no gears. I thought the reverse worked but I think that’s just because I was facing uphill.
