Hi Scotty , I have been trying to find this answers for a while now and i know what all your videos say but my question is does my 2011 Toyota Tacoma with 100k miles on it need a transmission flush , I have not done one before. I get different answers from different dealerships so you are the only one I trust. So should I have it done ? I plan on keeping this Tacoma for all long as I can Thanks Jeff , Semper Fi
yes transmissions need to be serviced regularly. Please see the related topic in the Frequently Asked Questions. Scott's videos should explain everything.
I would not believe anything I am told by a dealership, period.
Just had both my lexus and tundra flushed on the BG system at local independent shop. Toyota dealership uses bg also. It runs cleaner through the transmission on a timer to clean everything then adds new fluid and conditioner. Heat kills transmission fluid. That's why big trucks have transmission coolers or a radiator for the transmission fluid behind the grille to cool it.
a healthy transmission doesn't need any cleaners or conditioners. That's what you call an "upsell" and you fell for it hook, line, and sinker. This propaganda video is made by the company selling these snake oils
