07 Camry how to check transmission fluid level

I have a 2007 Camry that has 177k on it. It has a 2.4 with the automatic.  A few months ago I replaced the passenger cv axle and axle seal, doing that some ATF came out and I don't know how much because my drain pan had a hole in it.  I'm starting to worry about it and for the life of me, can't read the transmission dipstick confidently.  After I put the axle in I only added a quart.  For as long as I remember it has always vibrated in reverse and drive at a stop.  Today I put in a quart more and it seems like the level didn't change on the stick, it no longer vibrates in drive at a stop and maybe a little less in reverse.  I can not tell if my mind is playing tricks on me or not.  I'm going to do a filter and fluid change in the near future so that for sure will put me at a close to accurate level because there is a number amount to add. Any tips on what I'm doing wrong or have any advice to help me make sure I'm at the correct level?

Park on a level surface.  Vehicle warmed to operating temperature and idling.  Transmission in Park or Neutral if manual.  Pull the dipstick, wipe it, reinsert, count to three, pull it out and read it.  Add more fluid if necessary.

I think it uses World Standard or WS fluid. Don't use any other type. Check the manual.  Don't substitute dextron fluid.
