[Solved] 2011 Totoya Avalon - What do you think?

So I had a 2003 Honda Accord that I was planning to drive for 5 more years at least, was in great shape, but it spontaneously caught fire at a gas station and destroyed itself about 2 months ago, out of the blue.  This was about an hour after I got back from a 5 day vacation.  But I digress...

So I needed a sedan in a pinch and was looking at Accords in the 10-15K price range, there were quite a few options, but there was also an Avalon that came up in my search.  So I drove about an hour to look at the Avalon, and I hear on the radio that Toyota and all the other manufacturers are reducing production dramatically due to covid shortages on micro chips and all that BS, so i decided if this Avalon was in good shape i was just going to buy it before used car prices went up again.  So I bought a 2011 Toyota Avalon Limited with 100K miles for $11.5K.  Having owned it for about a month now I absolutely love it.  Any insight on what I should look out for?  The 6 cylinder engines from what I have read sound rock solid, and it has a timing chain vs. belt.

Also, I know you lived in Houston for 40 years and I have no idea where you are currently living,  but up here in the "Live Free or Die" state we have hard winters and oil undercoating is something that we do on older cars.  Do you have any knowledge/insight/opinions on oil undercoating?  Because there are many different options available.

Thanks buddy, love your videos!

Anything but a Totoya, please.

I think you got a good deal. Read the owner's manual and see what needs to be replaced at what time. You could also do a basic tune up on the vehicle right now: changing the spark plugs, oil, transmission fluid, etc.
