Hello, I’m having a baby soon and I’m currently looking to buy a 2011 Toyota Highlander limited sport v6 with 5 speed transmission with 130k miles. It’s a private sale and going for $9000. What are some things I should look for to determine if the car is a good buy. Thank you so much for all your help.
That is a very good family car. I would recommend having a trusted mechanic perform a pre-purchase inspection before you buy it. They can go through all the car's electronics and check the engine, transmission, suspension, and road test the car to make sure everything is in good condition. Overall, those Highlanders do not have any big problems you need to look out for - they are very well built. If everything checks out, that seems like a pretty good deal.

Very reliable comfortable cars and can last a long time, but you need to know the mechanical condition by having a mechanic doing a pre-purchase inspection on it.
What common problems do they have? I might not be able to get it to a mechanic so I want to know what issues I should be looking for. Thanks for your help.

There are some mechanical issues reported but not really that common but consistent so I added some links for you to check out.
Thank you so much!
