My family's 2011 Volvo XC90 seems to be needing oil about every month or so if daily driven 5 days of the week. It has 80k on it. What could be the problem?

well if you don't see it dripping on the ground it's not leaking it's burning and if it's burning the only thing you could change would be the oil trap they don't have PCV valves change the oil trap perhaps it's clogged up and oils being sucked into the engine because if it's not that the piston rings and the valve seals are just wearing and that cost a fortune to rebuild
