2011 VULCAN 900 C

Just bought a vulcan 900c with 1800 miles on it. My question is like new cars. They will advise not to drive over 80mph. So should I not drive my motorcycle over 80mph?

Another Question. The custom comes with a skinny tire on the front. Is it more or less control going high speeds with a skinny vs. a fat or more meaty tire? I ride year round here in Colorado.

The salesman encouraged me to trickle charge my battery every night. He claims to have not had to replace his battery for over 3 years. Now, if I park outside and leave the charger hooked up it won't increase my cranking amps. Only getting a higher cranking amped battery will address below 30 degree weather start ups. Right?

With 1800 miles most of the break in is done. Anytime you change tire size on a motorcycle you are taking a risk. The manufacturer put the r&d in for a reason. It may be ok but be careful. If you're parking outside during the winter the charger won't hurt. During the summer it's not nessicary if you're riding it everyday.
