2012 Acura TL
3.5 FWD Auto
mileage: 132000 km/82000 mi
I found this car at a dealership. I test drove it and my OBD2 scan tool found 9 codes. Nothing was wrong with the car and how it behaves under numerous tests other than codes that were popping.
I need help finding solutions if the fix is as simple as replacing the battery and reset the codes or if it’s still good/bad enough for me to buy this car and that if I can live with these existing codes.
Codes:
62-01 Power source failure for ECU (high voltage)
61-01 Power source failure for ECU (high voltage)
11-02 IG1 Power line failure
12-01 no description
B2-11 no description
43-11 No signal from driver side impact sensor
44-11 no signal from passenger side impact sensor
B12D0 IG1a power output malfunction
B1242 mode motor code error (as)
Recorded damage claim:
Hail damage (around $1600 Canada)
I need help! Thank you.
Walk away. Sounds like a salvage title junker loaded with electrical issues.
At that price I’d rather to try to find a first gen Acura TSX although iirc the 04/05 models had some issues and should be avoided. 2nd gen not quite as cool but still an excellent car.
TL is a bit bigger but the TSX is one of the best driving FWD cars out there.
