- 2012 Lancer ES , 99,000 miles . Unfortunately I don’t think the CVT fluid has ever been changed in this vehicle. My question is should I change it out with brand new fluid ?I was unsure if since it was at about 100,000 miles the fluid will be too far gone to change and perhaps new fluid could theoretically make it worse.Thank you {black}:laughingoutloud:

I would change it. Drain and fill. Do not flush.
They usually start whirring/whining when the fluid loses strength.
