Looking at 2012 Lexus is250 with 132,000 miles to use as a daily driver for about $12,000. Are there any particular issues I should be weary about or is the car solidly built? And how many miles can I expect it to last? With well maintenance of course.
Those are excellent cars and they’re very solidly built in Japan. They don’t have any particular problems, so long as they were maintained well by the previous owners. Have a trusted mechanic perform a pre-purchase inspection before you make an offer to make sure everything’s in good shape. That price seems kind of high for an IS with 130K miles. I wouldn’t pay more than $10K for it. But they can easily go 200K miles relatively trouble free.
Thank you and yeah does seem higher than the average, maybe because it has the F-Sport package? That could add some value no?
That's way overpriced. Max $7000 even in California. Idk whats going on out there in other states Scotty once said that a 10 year old Lexus ES is less expensive than a new Camry and if they were the same price for the same year the ES would have like 300k miles. That isn't the case here. The prices are EXACTLY the same. A Corolla from the same year goes for 7k 8k and so does the IS250.
Thanks and I think the price is a bit higher than usual because it has the F-Sport Package, sorry I didn't include that earlier.
I just checked and I could only find one F sport for sale in the whole country in the same generation and that was more expensive than you said if you are willing to pay that much have a mechanic check it out and haggle.
Keep in mind lots of online reviewers say that its a bit cramped and small.
Odd I found 2, one for 16k and one for 12k and yeah I am keeping that in mind but I'm high school student ready to go to college and I would like to buy the car cash. Thanks so much for the help and feedback!
