Should I buy this 2012 Nissan Quest?

We are looking to buy a 2012 Nissan quest with a conventional transmission from a private seller with 152k miles. It is selling for $5200. Owner claims it runs fine. Only thing that was changed was the ac compressor. Would this be an okay purchase? And what to look for when test driving it and scanning it?

Pass on it. The CVT transmission does not have much life left in it.

Never believe anything a seller tells you.

You need to have a good mechanic check it out before purchase. Note that transmission failure is very common on those.

Echoing the previous posters, get it checked out by a mechanic and be aware of the shortcomings of a high mileage CVT transmission.   Especially a Nissan CVT.

At that mileage, please pass on the Nissan Quest.
